The BYU Law Appellate Academy is a rigorous training program designed to introduce students to appellate practice. Students will participate in exercises designed to teach and strengthen appellate advocacy skills, including appellate brief writing and oral advocacy. The 2023 Appellate Academy will be held at the Los Angeles, CA offices of Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher, which is home to one of the largest and most experienced appellate practices in the nation. As part of this program, students will hear from and interact with judges and top attorneys in the field as well as explore Los Angeles and all that it has to offer. ,
