Gabriell Sabalones: Dedicated to Equality

Gabriell Sabalones (‘20) is dedicated to promoting equality. With her legal education and bachelor’s degree in International Cultural Studies, she is determined to provide service and educational opportunities for underprivileged communities. She actively strives to bridge the divide of inequality between all people within her sphere.

She sits on the board for the Latina Law Student Association and serves as a research fellow and member of the Management Board for the International Center for Law & Religion Studies.  She organized a benefit concert to raise money for displaced Peruvians, co-led a social media campaign to provide legal assistance for immigrants, and volunteered at a Haitian school and orphanage. Last summer, Gabriell spent two months as a legal extern with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Dominican Republic, serving whenever possible. Back in Provo, she mentors a fifth-grade student at Wasatch Elementary.
