Douglas Parker

Douglas Parker graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 1952. He taught at the University of Chicago School of Law and the University of Colorado. He started teaching at the BYU Law School in 1975, where he taught federal Indian law, Roman law and legal ethics classes. He was the first professor to receive BYU’s Karl G. Maeser distinguished teaching award. He is the author of several books, including “Readings in Jewish Law” and “Materials on Civil Procedure.” He also published multiple articles like “Rhetoric, Ethics and Manipulation,” and “Victory in Defeat – Polygamy and the Mormon Legal Encounter with the Federal Government.”
