Megan Welch

Megan Welch co-teaches the online section of the Legal Interviewing and Counseling course with Professor Larry Farmer. She also periodically teaches Interviewing and Counseling at the University of Houston Law Center. Ms. Welch began her practice as an associate at Stinson Morrison Hecker in Kansas City, Missouri. After leaving Kansas City, she spent a year in New York City assisting with major pharmaceutical and mortgage backed securities litigation and two years in Houston where she established her own practice in business litigation and family law. Now in Shreveport, Louisiana, she continues to teach in-person and online interviewing and counseling classes and is working with the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction and Lexis to develop online instructional materials and CLE programs on interviewing and counseling while commuting to Houston to continue her practice. She has passed the bar and is admitted to practice in Missouri, New York, and Texas.
