Morris Linton
Morris D. Linton serves as Senior Counsel at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his J.D. degree from Brigham Young University in 1978 after completing undergraduate work at Yale and BYU. He has also received a certificate in healthcare ethics from the University of Washington (1990). Following graduation from law school, Mr. Linton clerked with the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and with the United States Bankruptcy Court in Salt Lake City. In 1982, he joined the legal department at Intermountain, where his legal practice focuses on bioethics, corporate law, computer law, and HIPAA regulation. Mr. Linton is an adjunct professor at the J. Reuben Clark Law School (BYU), where he teaches legal drafting. He has served on the Utah Constitutional Revision Commission and is a member of the Health Information and Technology Committee of the American Health Lawyers Association. He is also a member of Scribes, the American Society of Legal Writers.
