Career Development Office Introduces PathFinder

June 11, 2020

BYU Law Career Development Office announces that students, alumni, faculty, and employers now have access to PathFinder, a new career services management program.

“Many members of the Law School community are familiar with the previous system powered by Symplicity,” said Assistant Dean Allison Belnap. “BYU PathFinder is run on a platform by a new software provider, and we are hopeful that this will be a positive change for the entire BYU Law community.”

In the new PathFinder system, students and alumni can search and apply for jobs, register for events, list job openings, and connect in the alumni mentoring program. They also have access to InterviewStream, a leading interview preparation program.

Employers can register for on- and off-campus recruiting events like job fairs and OCIs. Additionally, employers can create a listing for a student extern or request a student placement as part of one of the clinical alliance classes. Faculty can search job listings and refer students to certain positions.

Alumni who graduated prior to 2009, may click here and register for the program. Profiles will be reviewed, activated, and ready to use within a day. Login information and profile data for graduates from 2009 to 2015 has been migrated from Symplicity to the new site. Alumni in this category will login with the same email they used for PathFinder but will need to reset the password before accessing the site.

Employers may click here to access PathFinder. Those who are already in the Symplicity system will login with the same email but will need to reset the password. Those who were not on Symplicity will need to register a new account on PathFinder. Please call Corrie Richards at 801.422.3685 with any questions.
