Denise Beatty and Danielle Allen Join BYU Law External Relations

By Erin Fale May 19, 2022

The newest members of BYU Law’s External Relations Team both have prior experience at the Law School–Denise (‘96) as a graduate of BYU Law and Danie as a student employee prior to earning her B.S. in Economics from BYU in December 2021.

“This is the place it all began for me,” said Beatty, the new Alumni Events Coordinator. “I love BYU Law and I hope having an alumnus perspective will make our alumni events even more meaningful to our amazing graduates and their families.”

Prior to earning her J.D., Denise received a B.A. from University of California, Irvine. She began her career at the BYU Law Library and has spent the last seven years at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University as Administrator for Student Organizations, overseeing more than 30 student organizations including the Student Bar Association, Moot Court, Trial Advocacy, and Law Review.

Denise is an active member of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and brings her expertise in law school administration, event management, and fundraising to the External Relations team. She and her husband, Troy Beatty (‘01) recently relocated from Virginia to Utah. They are the parents of six children: Mikayla, Emma, Joe, Josh, Becky, and Katie.

Danie Allen, BYU Law’s new External Relations Communications Coordinator, is originally from Tucson, Arizona. Outside of BYU Law External Relations, Danie has worked as a student teaching consultant. Danie has two younger brothers and enjoys trivia competitions, disc golf, and traveling. Her role includes outreach to and communication with BYU Law’s nearly 7,000 living alumni and an even larger JRCLS membership.

“I am inspired by the stories of BYU Law alumni and Law Society members. I’ve met so many who have overcome great obstacles and now use their education to lift others up. I look forward to connecting with even more alumni in my role as Communications Coordinator.”

Denise and Danie round out the BYU External Relations team with years of event and communications experience, but most importantly, enthusiasm and appreciation for BYU Law.
