Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

Join the Black Student Law Association featuring Professors Kif Augustine-Adams and Carl Hernandez in celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at noon in the Moot Court Room (303 JRCB).

Dr. King was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. He dedicated the prize money of $54,123 to furthering the civil rights movement. He was awarded five honorary degrees; was named Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963; and became not only the symbolic leader of African Americans but also a world figure.
