New Alumni Board Members Take the Reigns

By Erin Fale January 25, 2022

On January 21, BYU Law welcomed alumni leaders to plan engagement, activities, and outreach programs for the BYU Law Alumni Chapter. The annual Alumni Leadership Council is a time of transition: some alumni board leaders roll off from their positions and others are welcomed. Together, they hit the ground running working towards new ways to engage and support BYU Law alumni around the world. The network of nearly 7,000 BYU Law alumni is cultivated by members of the Alumni Board and the Class Presidencies for each graduation year. This year, the Board welcomed incoming Alumni Board President Richard Salgado (‘06) and several new Board Members:

  • Marie Howick (‘09), Diversity and Inclusion Co-Chair
  • Simón Cantarero (‘04), Communications Co-Chair
  • David Bertoch (‘85) and Kelley Marsden (‘06), Giving Co-Chairs

There are still leadership roles on the Board at the Class level that need to be filled. If you’d like to serve with your Class President and representatives to the Alumni Board, please contact your Class President or email us at externalrelations@law.byu.edu. Duties include communication and upkeep of contact information for members of your class, regional event planning, service activities, and reunion planning.
