The Dakota Access Pipeline

November 10, 2016

The Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) will host a discussion with Professor Michalyn Steele and Professor Brigham Daniels about the Dakota Access Pipeline on Thursday, November 10 at 2:30 p.m. in room 306.

According to NALSA President Kathryn Brinton, “This is a current issue with big implications. The conflict over the pipeline involves industry; the environment; state, federal, and tribal authority; free speech and protest; and the way that people with different opinions and objectives interact with each other.”

The Native American Law Student Association provides the opportunity for BYU Law students to become familiar with federal Indian law as well as issues affecting native peoples.
