Debating Society

About

The Goal of the Debating Society is to foster richer opportunities for semi-formal discussion among the law students by holding regular discussions in which a topic selected by the presidency will be introduced briefly by two speakers, giving a pro and con side respectively, after which the students, gathered in clusters of 8-10 people will discuss the topic. Topics will be selected that are more philosophical and policy oriented than technical. The old rhetorical standard will apply to all questions that they will cover nothing that is obvious and nothing that is absurd.
