AI Law and Policy Academy

The BYU Law AI Law & Policy Academy introduces students to the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence law and public policy. Students will gain insights into advising AI clients, navigating regulatory challenges, and engaging with ethical considerations. Students will meet with experts—including top practitioners, in-house counsel, and government representatives—to explore case studies, participate in simulations, and use AI tools firsthand.

The 2026 AI Law & Policy Academy will be hosted by Clarion AI Partners, a boutique law firm focused on AI law and policy. Clarion AI Partners is a pioneering boutique law firm headquartered in Salt Lake City dedicated to AI law and policy. Clarion brings together a diverse team of lawyers, data scientists, and AI technologists to tackle the unique challenges AI presents. The firm’s expertise spans a range of AI-related legal issues, including regulatory compliance, ethical AI use, and counsel for companies developing or deploying advanced AI technologies. Clarion serves clients in government, industry, academia, and the nonprofit sector.

Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere is a mid-sized law firm in the metro Salt Lake City area that serves clients across the Wasatch Front and in the intermountain region.
