Criminal Justice Academy

Students in the Criminal Justice Academy will explore an array of contemporary criminal justice issues, including mass incarceration, policing, and felony disenfranchisement. In addition to visiting an organization dedicated to supporting successful post-incarceration reentry, students will have the opportunity to hear from a formerly incarcerated criminal justice reform advocate who has founded multiple criminal justice reform non-profits. Students will also meet with LDS criminal law attorneys, visit New York County Criminal Court, and see firsthand the impact the carceral system has on certain neighborhoods.
