Oil on canvas, 2001

Ron Rencher is an American artist who paints brilliant landscapes. At a young age, Rencher was influenced by his father’s paintings leading him to pursue a life full of art. Now settled in Texas with his wife Carlene Reeves – who is also an artist – Rencher spends his time creating beautiful works of art and teaching painting workshops. Glacial Polish demonstrates Rencher’s talent and his love for painting naturalistic scenes of beautiful landscapes. Glacial Polish portrays an escarpment, a long, steep slope at the edge of a plateau, above Fifth Lake, located near Inlet, New York. With loose brushstrokes Rencher creates a warm, inviting portrayal of towering mountains.
