Faculty Profile

David Dutcher currently serves as VP, Chief IP and Licensing Counsel at Sandisk Corporation, where he leads the Patent, IP Licensing, Litigation, Brand Protection, and Trademark teams. David is also an adjunct professor at the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Prior to Sandisk, David was VP, Chief IP and Licensing Counsel at Western Digital. Prior to WD, David worked at Fusion-io, Intellectual Ventures, and Perkins Coie in Seattle. David received his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School and his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
