Faculty Profile

Joshua Esplin is a Utah native who has been a criminal defense attorney at the Utah County Public Defender Association for over 14 years. He has defended cases from simple theft to homicides and everything in between. For the last several years as Chief Counsel, he has assisted with administrative duties within the office while also carrying a caseload. Since 2020, he has been tasked with leading the implementation of Filevine and its customization for use within the office. He enjoys discovering ways to increase the efficiency of defense attorneys in the representation of the accused in the criminal justice system.
