Adjunct Faculty
Katie Rane
Katherine E. Rane is dedicated to expanding access to quality legal education and representation for individuals and organizations from every economic background. Her commitment to this work stems from pivotal law school experiences representing detained women and children, as well as her life-long belief in Jesus Christ’s call to provide dignified service to all.
She co-founded the No More A Stranger Foundation in collaboration with the law school’s Community Legal Clinic, integrating service with legal education, and developed immigration law curriculum offered nationwide through BYU Continuing Education in partnership with the Office of Belonging. Under her leadership, the No More A Stranger Foundation has assisted thousands navigating immigration processes—including family-based residency, US citizenship, and humanitarian protections for victims of crime, trafficking, and violence—through non-lawyer accredited representatives and pro bono volunteers.
Ms. Rane’s hands-on experience with legal structures that support startups and philanthropy inform her work. She enjoys developing creative solutions for legal challenges to advance both professional excellence and charitable impact.
