Faculty Profile

Melissa Flowerday is a dedicated public defender, passionate about helping vulnerable individuals. She volunteers with the Timpanogos Legal Clinic, using her Spanish skills to support the Latino community in the legal system.

Her courtroom experience started early, competing in trial competitions and public debates since age twelve, earning state and national recognition. While at BYU, she received awards such as the Mary Clegg Public Speaking Award, “Best Orator” in trial competitions, and a Leadership Fellow scholarship, and advanced to the ABA’s National Championship in Negotiation.
