Adjunct Faculty

Spencer Phillips

For more than two decades, Spencer has focused his law practice on helping business owners and employees understand and protect their employment law rights. He has extensive experience handling cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, wage and hour laws, and many other important HR legal issues. He also serves as a mediator for firms across Utah and the US.

Before starting his own law firm (Employer-Lawyer, PLLC) in 2016, Spencer worked as a senior attorney with the largest employment law firm in the world where he litigated cases in forty-eight of the fifty United States. He also has experience serving as the first in-house employment counsel for a $2.3 billion telecom, former Judge for the State of New York, and civil rights attorney for employees and disabled individuals.

When he is not practicing law, you can find Spencer building musical instruments and spending time with his family, preferably at the beach.
