Stanley D. Neeleman

Stanley D. Neeleman is an emeritus faculty member at the J. Reuben Clark Law School where he served as the Terry L. Crapo Professor of Law. Born in 1943 in Salt Lake City, Neeleman received his JD from the University of Denver, where he served as editor in chief of the Denver Law Review. He is an expert in tax and estate planning law. 

Prior to joining BYU, Neeleman worked with the Internal Revenue Service and served as an academic fellow with various national trust and estate law bodies. He is the author of Estate Planning for the Healthy, Wealthy Family and co-authored books on the probate laws of Utah and Idaho with H. Reese Hansen.

In addition to his academic career, Neeleman served in numerous positions within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including as president of the Brazil São Paulo South Mission and the São Paulo Brazil Temple. Neeleman is married to Sheryl Lynn Hunt.
