Senior Manager

Karen Andrews joined the BYU Law School Career Development Office in 2001. Prior to starting at BYU, she lived in Tampa, Florida, where she graduated from the University of South Florida in education. Ms. Andrews taught school for many years in the Tampa area, including the schools that her children attended. She also sat on the boards of three land-holding companies in South Florida and was the office manager for two law firms as well as a national shutter company. She and her husband owned and operated a successful restaurant and pie company for over twenty years, and she firmly believes that the family has a “pie legacy” to uphold!
Ms. Andrews has worn many hats working in the Career Development Office over the past twenty-three years, but she has consistently overseen the Experiential Learning program, which includes externships, both international and domestic. She loves working with students and assisting them in setting up meaningful legal experiences that will help build their resumes and confidence. She is an expert at relationship building both with current students and alumni and is always happy to help students connect with alumni. Ms. Andrews sits on both the Professional Skills and Judicial Clerkship Committees at the law school.
Ms. Andrews is lucky enough to have her three children (attorney, contractor, and teacher) and their families living in Utah County. Family celebrations and the activities of her eleven grandchildren keep her on the run. The family keeps its southern roots intact with all things SEC (go Gators!), including the food. She also enjoys family history, hiking, gardening, and great friendships.
